It has been a while since I last posted. I had a bad fall on 30 Sep which required 5 stitches to my right elbow!
I could not use my right hand and I felt so handicapped! Thank God, the stitches has been removed on 14 Oct and I can bake again. :)

Although I still cannot bend my arm properly because of the discomfort and tightness around the elbow, I still managed to decorate this batch of ggb folks & cuppy cakes in Christmas mood for a friend's friend. :)

Little Charmaine - the feisty princess

I am deeply saddened by Little Charmaine's plight. As a mother, I emphatise & I sympathise.. But are we going to stop at that? Just by sympatising can't help them at all. Therefore, my cell group and I decided to do a bake sale to raise funds for her. We trust that big-hearted people will contibute generously to Lil Char & her family. At this time, we can offer her prayers, Father in Heaven, have mercy on Lil Char, hear our prayers - pleading & intercepting for her, Lord. Give her family peace, grant them strength and help Lil Char fight this monster!
Send your Angels and guard her, be her comforter and healer Lord. We need a miracle, Lord, even then, we will always trust and remain in You.

In case, you do not know how gingerbread taste like, they are moist, soft, a little bready and very aromatic!!
This is a traditional recipe that calls for unsulphured molasses - Molasses is a thick, sweet dark brown syrup made from sugar cane.

Fathers' Day - Teddy Cookie Pops

It's Fathers' Day tomorrow, decided to make a batch of teddies - Daddies & Mummies Teddy Cookie Pops!!! I used the Sugar Cookie recipe and decorated them in Royal Icing. "D" is for Dad and for David too !! :D

Cupcake Pops

Another time consuming project, I just can't resist trying my hands on this beautiful and adorable mini cupcakes! Recipe adapted from Bakerella. This batch are brown and pink! I used Betty Crockers Choc Fudge Cake Mix, homemade Cream cheese frosting and Candy melts. BUT I had problems with the candy melt, it did not melt completely, I tried microwaving and double boiling... wonder what is wrong?? The mixture was not runny, it was still quite thick, making it hard to dip.......... in the end, I had to use toothpick to fill up the gaps..... :p

Chocolate Macaroons

My first attempt on macaroons. This yummy bits sure was tricky to bake. The oven might be too hot, uneven oven temp could also be a cause....I had many that cracked, only a few turned out smooth and pretty!!! But the taste was fantastic! Will definitely try to perfect it!
